Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making digital services accessible to everyone

Accessibility Commitment

The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) is dedicated to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to guarantee equal access to information and services.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

NaFAA is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address these gaps.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Keyboard Navigation: Ensuring all interactive elements can be accessed and used via keyboard.
  • Text Alternatives: Providing alt text for non-text content (images, charts) to support screen readers.
  • Consistent Navigation: Maintaining a consistent layout and navigation structure across the website.
  • Contrast Ratios: Using color combinations that provide sufficient contrast for readability.
  • Resizable Text: Supporting text resizing without loss of content or functionality.
